an unfortunate cut of fabric

I have been making a jelly roll quilt this week. I used a jelly roll in the French General line by Moda fabrics called Bon Voyage. The design of the quilt is pretty simple, sort of a roman coin pattern.

As I was sewing together the strips I came to this particular strip from an 1800 century scenic fabric of noblemen and horses included in this jelly roll.

This particular piece has delighted my family and this sweet, cuddlely little quilt has become known as the "horse's a## " quilt.

Happy Stitching :)

  1. How wonderfully funny! Many years ago my friend Sally made a vest with zebra hineys on it (deliberately). She would wear it to work on the days that she wanted to "moon" people.
