My stack of finished PTOC blocks is growing.
I have realized, however, that I need to start working on adding the background pieces as I make the blocks or I am going to get bogged down at the end.
So lately I have been glueing piles and piles of the background pieces. My goal this weekend is to sew these pieces in strips of threes which seem to be the best way to sew them onto the blocks.
I also came across a small piece of this brown fabric and thought it would might be a good color for the one inch connector squares between the blocks.
This is a fabric that is a couple years old and to fussy cut all of the 1 inch squares I would need would require three yard of fabric. Yikes! What did we quilters do before online quilt shops and web searches? The fabric arrived yesterday and I am loving it.
My blocks are growing in number and size.
Happy Stitching,
Cheri
You are certainly ambitious with all this english paper piecing. Lovely blocks.
ReplyDeleteYour blocks look great - so much variety between blocks! That brown fabric is a lovely choice - I'm so glad you were able to find more :0)
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty amazing what you are doing! It is going to be spectacular!
ReplyDeleteYour blocks look great. I know you will be glad that you've stopped to add those background rows. I am stalled on a hexie project because I waited until so far into the project to add the background pieces.
ReplyDeleteHeart be still!! Your blocks are lovely and I love (love!) your fussy cut squares. Well done!! Very inspiring, too!
