Sewing Seaweed

I just finished a customer quilt (actually it is a donation quilt made by the good ladies of the St Luke Methodist Church) on the long arm machine. This little quilt had such a cute sea theme I could not help but add some waving seaweed fronds to it.The back of the quilt is as cute as the front. I also got Home Tweet Home (pattern by McKenna Ryan) completed this week. Quilted, bound,

and labeled--my LEAST favorite part of the quilt making process.

I have been wanting some new kitchen and dining room valances for a LONG time. I have a little Dutch theme going on in my dining room (courtesy of my Mom who does not let me forget my Dutch heritage by giving me Delft for Christmas every year) but I did not want the delft look in the curtains. A few weeks ago I found this cute Moda print from Urban Chiks in their Daisy Daze line. Along came Leslie, friend extraordinaire, who turned this cute fabric into mock roman shade valances. She just finished them this week and I think they look AWESOME Leslie! Happy Stitching and have a good week all,
Cheri
